It’s closer to that time where new content is well on its way! This update will feature a new boss, new dungeon, new enemies, and more challenging mechanics! From traps to wraps and enemy buffs which will be very tough, we got you covered. We are wrapping up Google Play’s Open Beta with 1.1.49, and will be live for everyone shortly. Some new stuff has been added to this post to give clarity on new things! Let’s discuss.
To start off, 6 new enemies will spawn in the Depths, but certain ones can also be found in the Overworld. Image above should give you a general idea of what you are up against.
The Depths is packed with challenge. The variety of menacing enemies in this dungeon will be of greater threat with the reward of rare chests appearing without locked doors! Obelisks can be found throughout the dungeon which provide buffs to enemies, but can be destroyed by attacking them. Each symbol on the Obelisks links to a buff (more info below). Water (Finally! Pyro’s weakness shall shine!) can be found in this dungeon with enemies hiding in the waters invisible to the player. Ladders works like gates where enemies cannot enter, but the player can. In order to enter this dungeon, be on the lookout for this structure which has a chance of spawning as long as you are level 10 or greater.
The Great Cthulhu
We wanted to make the Cthulhu boss an actual boss with choices and more strategy incorporated. This boss will only grow stronger with the 4 Obelisks around. He will also become enraged when below an hp threshold and his tentacles can sometimes wrap around you causing you to lose turns while you stand their defenseless! He can be found at the end of the Depths dungeon. Stay vigilant!
This Obelisk provides buffs to nearby enemies. You can destroy them by attack it. There are 7 Glyphs that are linked to specific buffs. Below are their true potential, but I want players to experiment with understanding the glyph so I will only list the potential buffs:
- +10% Dmg (Stackable)
- Heal 10% Hp
- Immunity to Crit
- Immunity to Bleed
- Immunity to Stun
- +10% Armor (Stackable)
- +15% Aggression
The end reward for the Depths dungeon is the everlasting blessing of Morgana. She will grant you a buff that will last your whole adventure. Here’s a current list of possible selections and note, only 3 can be active during an adventure:
|Buff Type||Buff Description|
|+20% Max Hp||Increase total max Hp|
|+10% Damage||Increase total Base Damage|
|+10% Mp||Increase total Magic Power|
|+10% Xp boost||Increase Xp gained|
|+50% Stun Reduct||Reduce chance of getting stunned|
|+5% Armor||Negate damage received|
|+25% Mana||Increase total Mana|
It’s a Trap!
Be aware, there are traps in the Depths! Stepping on a trap sprite will trigger a Wrap causing you to be immobile and unable to attack for 2 turns.
Armor has finally changed to percent base rather than a flat number. The game will automatically update the values as the values matched what the percentages would end up as. Since we didn’t want 100% (because who would want that!), we decided to cap Chestplates at 15%, and Helmets at 5%. You can acquire 5% more with an adventure buff as well.
Ascension! is the next big update along with adding more VIP perks. I do plan to do a road-map post to give a scoop of what updates are planned after Ascension.
